Dear Paul - I'm sorry for your loss...
Thank you, ES. Sharon-Gay and I were pleasant acquaintances, not really close, but she touched many lives on Holy Hill and it was always a joy to see her. I learned of her death on facebook and wanted to honor her memory.
May Sharon-Gay rest in peace and rise in glory.
And she was an active Episcopalian and member of the diocesan Altar Guild.
She was registrar at the Graduate Theological Union, my doctoral institution in Berkeley, and was immeasurably kind to hundreds of harried and broke graduate students. She also loved cats and had a door covered with pictures of them -- her own and the cats of others.
Thank you, Paul. May Sharon rest at last, and rise in glory in Godde's time.
I can well imagine the impact Sharon-Gay had on graduate students. She was large-hearted and seemed to me unflappable. Good qualities in a registrar.
Prayers ascending!
