My sister Iva just sent me word that our sister Shirley and her husband Jack were in an accident yesterday.
Shirley and Jack were in a accident this morning in bad fog! Their car is totaled, but they were checked out at the hospital and no broken bones or blood. Probably gonna be really sore tomorrow. Paula and Rick [their daughter and her husband] had just left for home and had gotten as far as Madera so turned around and came back. I saw them this afternoon and they were doing alright. P and R are staying until tomorrow.

That fog over there can be a real b*tch! Prayers for those suffering soreness of joints and bruises, etc. as a result of lots of things. I can also sympathize

Tom and I were in a 16 car pile-up while crossing the causeway over Lake Pontchartrain in fog. Our car was totaled, too, but we were not injured. One young man was killed, and many were injured. The ambulances and helicopters could not get to the injured for a good while because of the fog. The accident was many years ago, but I still cannot drive over the causeway, and I still get extremely tense while driving or riding in fog.
Sorry to burden you with my past troubles, Paul. You know me - always all about me. :-)
Some events mark us for life, Mimi. I can see why you would not drive the causeway again.
