Give yourself a break from my political rants

Stroll on over to Padre Mickey's Dance Party to learn about Absalom Jones, a slave who became a priest in the Episcopal Church. Great man, and Padre Mickey, as usual, shares lots of information about one more saint of our church.

Have you caught the snow pictures chez Caminante?

Or the poems, prayers, and musings of Tandaina at Snow on Roses?

Fr Mike F has been offline for a few days but until he gets going again, check out past posts rooted in the contemplative life at The Mercy Blog.

Nature walks with spectacular photos, not to mention food porn, from the Cunning Runt at Little Bang Theory.

And so much more, but I thought these might help restore your equilibrium this morning.

Then you can get your dander back up with Fran and Mimi and the political blogs and me. But for now, a Lenten pause.

UPDATE:
Don't forget to treat yourself to the wonderful words of the Blessed Oscar Romero at Acts of Hope (here and here).

UPDATE 2:
Jane R reminds me, quite rightly, that Mike F is not a "father" though he is a dad.  My apologies.
