God knows I sometimes feel like rioting, Mimi, and sometimes I am simply riotous. You, my dear, are often a laugh riot. Should the authorities be warned about us?
what is the variety, Paul? (I am about to get seriously involved with Canadian Hardy i.e. sub-zero roses...they get lovelier and lovelier...hooray for agricultural experimental stations, I say!)
Alas, Crimson Rambler, I don't know. That tag must have detached when I planted this rose and it has remained a mystery. Unlike the crimson of the Blaze rose, this one is definitely scarlet, an orange-tint to the intense red. It is one of the new ones I planted this spring. I do know that the roses appear singly on long stems. Alas, I do not even understand rose nomenclature and categories. I just plant them and enjoy them.
The views expressed on this blog are solely those of the blogger and do not represent the positions of any group or organization with which he may be affiliated. As one who spent decades stuffing down his opinions and emotions, I am inclined to cut loose here, which I believe is healthy, honest, and part of the process of sanctification in the long run. Politics and spirituality mingle freely here, along with theatre reviews, photography, and passionate talk about food, literature, and the human journey. If anything written here offends you, please find other blogs to read. I am here to share, not to do battle.

Good grief! There's a riot going on here - a riot of flowers and colors. I refer to earlier posts, too.

Yes. About the both of you!
Love your rose Paul.
And also with you, Margaret.
Rioting is a good word, indeed. For the rose, yes.
For you and Grandmère Mimi, definitely!
