Friday night at the movies

Just as I was logging out at work I got a phone call from my best friend. An invite to join him and his dad for a simple meal. But of course! So off I went, north instead of south. Lovely meatloaf and broccoli with strawberries, banana slices and cream for dessert.

We then headed to his dad's apartment where we watched Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck in Roman Holiday. A nice piece of fluff.

And that's my wild night on the town.

Contentedly to bed.

I love that movie! And Gregory Peck is still one of my favorites. I loved that movie when he played 'the old gringo.' He was supposed to be ambrose bierce. I could have done without jane fonda, but i believe that jimmy smits was in it too. Peck was sexier, even in his 70s and 80s than any other man I've ever seen...

It was fun, and a great b&w view of Rome in decades past. I agree, Susan S. I kept looking at Peck in that film and thinking, dayumn, he's fine.

You also have to love some of the faces ad character actors in the film.
