Bearsy's got an owie

It seems tooth #19 (a lower left molar) had an abscess. So I began my day with a root canal. I had a root canal done there two years ago and I'm not thrilled with going through this again. Must say, I love the Zen setting of the endodontist's office and the softly played baroque music in the background. Almost no pain in the process. Tonight, however, I am grateful for Tylenol with codeine and am about to take another one.

Next week: the final filling for today's work and tackling cavities and a new crown.

Excelsior!

Ow, ow, ow! Glad there is not much pain - but still. What a drag. Her Grace sends furry love. I send a bit human hug!

Yes, dear, never turn down the vicodin! In a couple of days you may be able to dial down to ibuprofen. In both cases, do not wait until the pain starts before taking it. OK? OK! Love you and your toofs.

So true, Susan S. I take the analgesics every 3 hours, though the prescription says every 4. It is easier if you do not allow the pain to build up again. It's sort of like beating down Satan under your feet.

Thanks, everyone. While this started out rather manageable I lost a lot of sleep last night to the pain. We will see what today brings. We are short-staffed at work today but I have not yet gone in. I turned down stronger analgesics yesterday and am going hat in hand to the endodontist and accept the offer this morning.

Poor Paul!! You shouldn't go into work today! You also might sleep better in less pain if you have a recliner that leans back but keeps your head slightly above your knees.
