I am declaring a truce in honor of my mother's birthday

My mother was born 99 years ago today. Happy birthday, Mom.

My dislike of secular Christmas music is no secret. And I'm not even talking about music wars between Maddy and Mickey.

This is just too fun and I enjoy it a lot.

Of course, if most of what is pumped into the airwaves in December were as well performed as this....

Thanks, George. She went to be with Jesus in 1985, so she's in a position to know of your wishes. Very sweet of you.

Happy Birthday, Paul's Mom!

I am so out of the secular Christmas. Grandpère, bless him, bought the gifts for the younger grandchildren. To the rest, we give money in a beautiful religious Christmas card. In the next day or so, I'll rustle up something for GP, who has everything he wants already. I must, because he will give me something.

About the video, I'm disappointed. No "Little Drummer Boy".

Je suis désolé, Grandmère, que je t'ai déçu. Je ne savais pas que le petit garçon au tambour te soit tellement chéri.

Moi, je suis desolée, aussi, mon cher Paul. Je pleure. Boo-hoo.

Happily, Padre Mickey did include it at his place, where you may take comfort and find cheer.

Imagine how they celebrate Jesus' birthday in Heaven, and how your Mom must feel every time it comes around.

That would be a marvelous feeling to capture and hold through this Season of Light.

And hey, Straight No Chaser kicked my ass.
