Yes, dear reader, we took advantage of a federal holiday for another day trip in New Mexico. This time is was a visit to the Salinas Pueblo Missions.
These are the ruins (now part of a national monument - see link above) of Franciscan missions built by the pueblo peoples who lived near natural salt beds (Las Salinas).
We went to see two of them today, at Quarai and Gran Quivira. We did not visit Abó.

More later.

What a lovely adventure. I really like that photo of you!!
Wonderful and magic places. Thanks for the pictures. Perfect one of you.
I need to chime in here and say that's a great picture of you, Paul!
Thanks, ladies. Bill took three of me today and offered to take more. I got some nice ones of him too. I find it much easier to look at something than try to smile for the camera. Since I was wearing shades he had me take them off for this shot.
Great photos. A wonderful one of you in the apse of the church. Thanks for sharing.
Hi there, Paul. You're looking good. I'm glad you and Bill had an enjoyable outing.
The pictures of y'all and the ruins are wonderful. Just look at that sky!
