No, this is not a tirade about government spying (though we need such tirades).
For some time after I had moved into my new home all I saw on Mapquest's aerial view was a neighborhood of dirt with roads laid out.
Tonight, while checking the location of a junkyard not too far from me, I slid on over to my neighborhood and clicked "aerial." What to my wondering eyes should appear but my house AND you could see shadows in the back yard from my fruit trees and roses!
So that is the satellite view of my humble garden. I will have something a little closer up before leaving town.

Want to get freaked out- go to google street and enter in your address.
The "consolation" is that the shot is supposed to be about a year old. For your privacy of course.
Crap the shadows of your trees. Freaky.
When I saw mine I could see both my car and my SIL's car in the driveway, so that would be when she visited last August.
