40,000
Somewhere in the last half hour this blog had its 40,000th page view (since 10/7/2007). It was just last September 7 that we hit 30,000 (I remember it happening while on the road trip).
Many thanks to all who visit here, and especially commenters and online friends.
Dear Mimi, your blogometer turns much more swiftly, it would be hard to pay attention.
Church was lovely. Got a haircut and joined the gym on the way home. Just watered the yard. Productive day. Now, of course, I have to GO to the gym. Regularly.
The views expressed on this blog are solely those of the blogger and do not represent the positions of any group or organization with which he may be affiliated. As one who spent decades stuffing down his opinions and emotions, I am inclined to cut loose here, which I believe is healthy, honest, and part of the process of sanctification in the long run. Politics and spirituality mingle freely here, along with theatre reviews, photography, and passionate talk about food, literature, and the human journey. If anything written here offends you, please find other blogs to read. I am here to share, not to do battle.

Paul, congratulations! I tend to miss my significant numbers.
I hope that you had a good church.

Congratulations again. 'Fraid I'm gonna hafta join the gym, too. And go, of course.
You've done well on physical therapy so it should just be carrying that progress forward. Good luck with it.
I love pumping iron when I do it regularly. But it has been at least 7 years.
P.S. Congrats on the 40,000!
I haven't checked my Site Meter in weeks. I used to check it obsessively when I started blogging and now I forget all the time.
Thanks for paying such close attention to the international visitors and for the geography blogging!
Your word recognition thingie says "uptswa" - sounds quasi-Swedish.
