Fuckin' redneck

Levi Johnston, Governor Palin's future son-in-law

The New York Post provides information on the father of Sarah Palin's future grandchild:
On his MySpace page, Johnston boasts, "I'm a f - - -in' redneck" who likes to snowboard and ride dirt bikes.

"But I live to play hockey. I like to go camping and hang out with the boys, do some fishing, shoot some s- - - and just f - - -in' chillin' I guess."

"Ya f - - - with me I'll kick [your] ass," he added.

He also claims to be "in a relationship," but states, "I don't want kids."
Since he wrote his own material here, I assume there is no slander in sharing it.

Hoffmania, who alerted me to the NY Post article, comments on the "I don't want kids" bit:
Should've planned for that, f---in' redneck.
[Need we remind anyone that Governor Palin is firmly in favor of abstinence-only sex "education," praises here daughter's "choice" while opposing any woman's right to choose, and used a line-item veto to slash funding for a program for pregnant teenagers?]

NYMag calls him "Sex on Skates." So I guess McCain has sewn up the hockey vote.

Charming lad.

All of them lovely people.

This is NOT part of our prince blogging series.

What I heard - at least to my interpretation - yesterday was this... the right closing ranks around their people. Sarah Palin has gone from hockey-mom power monger to darling of the right.

I think they can and will spin this to their advantage - in a most Rovian-same puppetmaster sort of way.

You know- its all about choice. Praising the choice to get married. At 17? What horseshit.

Palin is using her kids and her family problems to bolster her appeal.

And in dumbed down 'merka it is working.

Sorry- major funk over all of this today.

Oh, the right is closing in around her and Levi is slated to appear with the family at the convention. I know some idjits will fall for it but I also think that a great many Americans are going to see the hypocrisy and manipulation and think it's too crass for words. The media are not falling all over in adoration of McCain (and now Palin) the way they were until recently. Let us not abandon hope.

I never thought I would see that day when a shotgun wedding was something social conservatives would be proud of. I mean ... HELLO!??!?!?

The folks that are getting the REALLY short end of the stick here are the soon-to-be newlyweds and their child.

RevBoy, I think you are right. They are caught in a religious and social web designed to keep them ignorant and choiceless. Fucking is forgiven if you then submit your lives to all the other social expectations and serve the purposes of the community, in this case a political community. They are just pawns in a very ugly game. "Early" births have always been tolerated in conservative communities so long as the shotgun wedding ensues.
