Superpowers?

Your Superpower Should Be Manipulating Electricity

You're highly reactive, energetic, and super charged.
If the occasion calls for it, you can go from 0 to 60 in a split second.
But you don't harness your energy unless you truly need to.
And because of this, people are often surprised by what you are capable of.

Why you would be a good superhero: You have the stamina to fight enemies for days

Your biggest problem as a superhero: As with your normal life, people would continue to underestimate you

Hmm. I may have answered the questions wrong or I am just very tired tonight. I will go with this.

Came a little while ago from an early family Christmas dinner while baby sister is in town (actually all my ex's family). So perhaps what we are dealing with is supper power.

Dumb game. We know not what we say! JN1034 is ...

Your Superpower Should Be Invisibility - You are stealth, complex, and creative. You never face problems head on. Instead, you rely on your craftiness to get your way. A mystery to others, you thrive on being a little misunderstood. You happily work behind the scenes... because there's nothing better than a sneak attack! Why you would be a good superhero: You're so sly, no one would notice... not even your best friends. Your biggest problem as a superhero: Missing out on all of the glory that visible superheroes get.

Sounds like gay Byzantine intrigue, eh?

PS. Okay, you're tired, so we'll absolve you this once. C'mon, 'fess up! You are "highly reactive, energetic, and supercharged," and the rest resounds quite truthfully (*ahem*). You do, indeed, manipulate electricity! Everytime you post, each moment you awaken God within us, at the second you stir people with your intelligence and wisdom and outpouring of Christ's mercy and grace, are you not manipulating the divine electricity of the Holy Spirit, are you not working Pneumatology? (Hey, we're Orthodox. We grap theological holism in everything). Rest well. Family get-togethers require recharging.

[For the rest of you: I sent an off-line protest saying I just didn't see it. I also said I had come back from a family gathering and was tired, it being around midnight. JN1034 reminds me, in the second comment, that perhaps I protested too much.]

If we are talking Pneumatiology (and with JN1034 and me, when aren't we, at least by implication?) then I hope so, though I trust my manipulation is cooperation for the sake of freeing and empowering others and not the kind of manipulation we usually think of.

Touché, αδελϕοι!

I didn't like mine at all, not at all. It would have been quite embarrassing to post, so I choose to believe it's balderdash.

Actually, I believe mine was the same as yours, JN1034. Embarrassing, isn't it? At least, I thought it was.

Mimi, we must always bear in mind that these are, to borrow Jane's phrase, "self-referential silliness. So stick to your guns.

Hmmm. Mind-reading.

You are brilliant, insightful, and intuitive.
You understand people better than they would like to be understood.
Highly sensitive, you are good at putting together seemingly irrelevant details.
You figure out what's going on before anyone knows that anything is going on!

Why you would be a good superhero: You don't care what people think, and you'd do whatever needed to be done

Your biggest problem as a superhero: Feeling even more isolated than you do now

I don't know. I'm intuitive, but I can also be damned oblivious.

Grand-Dame Mimi: The only part that really pinched was that piece about "Missing out on all of the glory that visible superheroes get" (oh, our humanity can blind us to our own invisibility). Yet consider whose holy company we keep ... the Prophet Moses! 40 years of his trekking in dirt, he never got to live in the Promised Land, only saw it from afar. But, like he, after thousands of years, people will be using our names for exclamation (Holy Mimi!)

Afterthought: Kirstin, ah, you're one of those, eh? Using an oblivious nature as a cloaking device to conceal your intuitiveness? How ingenious! Gotta try that.

It's surprisingly effective--as long as you don't get caught being an idiot!

JN1034, stealth, craftiness, sneak attack? That hurts.

I didn't care for "manipulating but there you have it.

Now, Grandmère, it's not like sweet biddies don't come across all sweetness and light before their victim discovers there is no escaping their wiles. I've not only seen "Steel Magnolias," I've known a few.

Oh, Paul, I have the same Superpower as you! I kinda thought the questions were silly and even sillier the outcome. :-)

Paul said...

Totally silly, Susan. And, you'll notice this is possibly the longest comment thread I've ever had. Pathetic commentary on us all. LOL

I got stuck at the question about side kick animals. Since I didn't like any of the choices I stopped there!
