Thanks, BB. Just what the doctor ordered.

Paul, I passed through Albuquerque when I flew in on the way to Santa Fe. I saw very little of it but the airport and the outskirts, such as the scene in your picture.

After living my life in the swamps, I don't believe I could live in dry country.

Grandmère, ne me dis pas que tu étais si près et ne m'as pas visité! Je suis désolé.

I live fairly near to the airport. It is on the SE corner of town and I am in the far SW corner.

After having lived in the Mediterranean climate of Central and coastal California and now here, I can assure you I could never live in the humidity of the swamps. I loved my one April visit to New Orleans but am certain the summers would give me the vapors. I not only enjoy dry air (most of the time), I am an unreformed heliolater, no doubt confirming the bishop of Abuja's suspicions. I love soaking up sunshine (with SPF zero).

I cook with real butter (a Swede can do no other) and cream upon occasions. So there, vices all over the place.

Thanks for risking the desert; I hope you had a blessed time in Santa Fe.
