The economic mess...

... brilliantly explained for you.

h/t to Atrios for posting this. If you click on the link to the left you can see a second episode. And everything will be so much clearer, don't you know.

Paul darling, I must get some sleep so I'm skipping the second episode for now, but that first one was brilliant.

Does this count as our Anglican devotion for the night? It's way past Compline so it's almost Matins in the monastic sense.

Well, it's very English and possibly even Anglican but I suspect it is about worship of mammon and therefore represents at least an indirect threat to our souls. Since it makes fun of mammon-worship, on the other hand, it may be salutary. Which leaves me in a very Anglican muddle about whether it might count as compline. It did not place me in a space for a peaceful night and a perfect end, so I am afraid I must conclude, sadly, no.

If our heart condemns us, however, God is greater than our heart (1 John), so I would rest in Jesus without worrying about it.
