O God, you made us in your own image and redeemed us through Jesus your Son: Look with compassion on the whole human family; take away the arrogance and hatred which infect our hearts; break down the walls that separate us, unite us in bonds of love; and work through our struggle and confusion to accomplish your purposes on earth; that, in your good time, all nations and races may serve you in harmony around your heavenly throne; through Jesus Christ our Lord. What's a "buddhapalian?" I'm a Southern Buddhist, refer to myself as a bujinin and drive bubbasattva II. i was looking for info on iraqui casualties and your blog came up. i was raised low-church PE and gradually moved East while staying physically here in south carolina. being a lliver transplantee i have a liverish outlook on many things but not rose-tinted.
Be/NotBe a bubbasattva --only your dharma knows for sure

Hi, Pete, and welcome to this blog. The invented name of this blog reflects my primary spiritual influences. I am primarily rooted in the Western Christian tradition and, though raised a Baptist, found a home in the Anglican mode (before the rise of the neo-Donatist schismatics). Thus the -palian for Episcopalian.

My perception of the world and ultimate reality is also shaped by Eastern Christianity (the Byz- part for Byzantine), Native American and other earth-centered spiritualities (the -igenous for Indigenous), and Buddhism (the obvious Buddhi-).

By using this neological combination I do not claim to be Eastern Orthodox, Buddhist, or Native American, only that I am nourished by those streams and value them highly.

Hope that answers your question. Blessings on the health of your new liver!
