If you live in NC or TX you need to know this before voting

There are dangers involved in voting straight Democratic ticket and they are different in the two states. Just go read about it here. Make a mistake and your vote may not count.

Hi Paul --this isn't about voting, but just wanted to let you know that Joel and I had lunch with Pamela of St. Cuthbert's today!!! Joel knew Pamela when she was in Franciscan orders.

Who knew that you and I have actually met --I came to St. Cuthbert's about 6 or 7 years ago, when I was looking for a field ed. site--ended up at St. Gregory of Nyssa instead... I remember your Buddha-Jesus icon.

Wow, Margaret, how cool is that? I hope our paths cross again. St Greg's is the all-time cool place but I think of St Cuddy's as St Gregory's in the East Bay.

Thanks for the link. as a Canadian, I know it's not supposed to feel like my election, but being able to pass this information to my Obama- voing sister-in-law and her kin in North Carolina felt really personal for me.

Ooh, I know Pamela too. We had the same hairdresser in Oakland, that is a bond! (We also knew we had the churchy connection, but you know women and their hairdressers.)
