A silent voice said, "Sibelius"

And so we have this:

The glowing finale of Sibelius' 5th Symphony, performed by the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen.

Berwaldhallen, Stockholm, Sweden
January 1987

Enjoy.

Ah, Sebelius. (Sigh!) Love the 5th. Love the 4th even better but it's hardly ever performed because it's so full of anguish. However, Brahms never made any sense to me until I really studied the Sebelius 4th. It was then that suddenly all the late romantics opened up to me.
