A Dark Anniversary

Fran reminds us of the following:
Today marks the point in time when President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066 that put 120,000 Japanese into internment camps. Over two-thirds were American citizens.
Check out her post and its links. As I commented, we need to remember these sad chapters of our history. Denial enables us to do it again.

Thanks for the link Paul. This is a story that has always saddened me in a very strong way. I visited a museum of sorts in Arizona, a place where the Japanese Americans were held on a reservation.
